Not Sure What You Need?
There are so many stages of editing, and it can be hard to keep them all in order. Take a look below and see which feels right for you.

Developmental Edit
Developmental editing focuses on the big picture of your story—helping identify what’s working, what may be holding the manuscript back, and where opportunities exist to deepen the impact of your story.
I’ll review elements such as plot, pacing, structure, character development, tone, and overall narrative cohesion, providing honest, thoughtful feedback designed to strengthen the heart of your manuscript while preserving your vision.

Line Edit
A line edit is best suited for manuscripts that are structurally complete and ready for refinement. At this stage, I review your manuscript closely, sentence by sentence, to strengthen clarity, flow, pacing, and word choice while preserving your unique voice.
Rather than focusing primarily on grammar and technical corrections, line editing is about readability—helping your prose feel smoother, more immersive, and more engaging for your reader.

Copy Edit
Copy editing is best suited for manuscripts that are structurally complete and nearly ready for publication or submission. During this stage, I will carefully review your manuscript for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and consistency issues to help ensure your story reads smoothly and professionally.
I will also look for inconsistencies in style, tone, continuity, and formatting, helping you polish the details so readers can stay immersed in the story—not distracted by errors.

Proofreading
Almost ready to publish? Proofreading is the final step before your manuscript goes out into the world.
This service is designed for manuscripts that have already gone through revisions and editing but would benefit from one final, detail-focused review. I will carefully check for lingering spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, and consistency issues to help ensure your manuscript is polished and ready for readers.
Perfect for authors who want the peace of mind that comes with one last set of eyes before publication.

Manuscript Evaluation
Not sure your manuscript is ready for a full developmental edit? A manuscript evaluation offers big-picture feedback without an extensive in-line edit.
I will read through your manuscript and provide a detailed editorial overview focused on structure, pacing, plot, character development, tone, and overall narrative cohesion. You’ll receive honest, thoughtful feedback identifying strengths, potential problem areas, and opportunities for revision—helping you better understand what is working and where your story may benefit from further development at a fraction of the cost.
